A month ago, my relationship was my father was on very very shaky ground. We had family friends over for a few days which hashed things out a little, but it managed to culminate in me storming out of a big (and public) family dinner, walking home and heading to the freezer for icecream and ranting to my lovely lovely 22-year-old family friend Flora, who totally understood how I felt for her father and mine are practically the same person wtf. When father came home, I burst into tears again - I was honestly sobbing so hard it was a little difficult to breathe for a while - but things ended well. A day or two later, my dad expressed his wish for an instax wide and I offered help him buy it online. But then - "you know what dad? You bought me a car. I'll buy you this." I think this is the first significant thing I've bought for my dad with my own money. It made me happy, making him happy, and knowing my relationship with him would only benefit from it.
I so love my 35mm lenses!! ♥
P.S. I think I shall name him Sampson, after Angus Sampson, the hilarious Australian comedian. LOOK UP "ANGUS SAMPSON THANK GOD YOU'RE HERE" ON YOUTUBE IF YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW WHO HE IS! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED I PROMISE YOU!!
